24 Solar Terms -" Grain in ear "

Grain in Ear, the ninth solar term of the twenty-four solar terms, falls between June 5th and 7th on the Gregorian calendar. It is the only solar term that directly guides agricultural activities. As the weather becomes hotter and the daylight hours lengthen, the grains with awns are ready to be harvested, and rice with awns can be planted. The name "Grain in Ear" is derived from its homophonic sound with the phrase "busy farming."

The key to health preservation during Grain in Ear is to adapt to the climate characteristics of the season. One should maintain a relaxed and joyful state of mind, avoiding anger and melancholy. This allows the smooth circulation of Qi and facilitates the harmonious flow of energy. Since summer days are longer and nights are shorter, it is advisable to go to bed late and wake up early. Maintaining a relaxed and joyful state of mind is crucial. In terms of daily routine, one should go to bed and wake up late while appropriately receiving sunlight (avoiding direct exposure to the sun and paying attention to preventing heatstroke). This helps to conform to the vigorous Yang energy, promote the circulation of Qi and blood, and invigorate the spirit.

During summer, temperatures rise, and humidity increases in the air. The body's sweat cannot be easily dispersed, resulting in the accumulation of heat and dampness. The key lies in clearing heat and dispelling dampness. In terms of diet, it is advisable to consume foods that have the effect of clearing heat, replenishing Qi, moistening the mouth, and relieving thirst. Here are a few tips from Chinaturel:
