24 Solar Terms -" Lixia"

"Lixia" is the seventh solar term in the traditional Chinese calendar, marking the beginning of summer. It occurs between May 5th to May 7th in the Gregorian calendar, symbolizing the official start of the hot summer season. During this time, people's metabolism accelerates, and insufficient blood supply to the heart and brain can lead to restlessness and lethargy. It's essential to arrange daily routines reasonably, replenish nutrients, and adopt appropriate health preservation methods. As "heart" corresponds to "summer," the heart yang is most vigorous during the summer season. Excessive sweating can easily damage heart qi. Therefore, during the "Lixia" solar term, it is essential to focus on nourishing the heart and yang.
